Ha... being a christian, living a life that follows Christ is interesting.
Yesterday, Clar and I went to visit a friend's place to pass "exam kit". Ha... Who in the right mind would do what we do. We live in different places, yet we are willing to travel at such a late time, preparing our stuff, and even try to think what right words to use. Anyway, we prayed and did all we could. I just hope that every young christian would not forsake what's eternal and BIG for what's temporal and small. Whatever circumstances, know that there is a church of brothers and sisters, being touched by God like you, who are with you. No one should give up upon what's right for Christ. Everyone matters.
Someone once taught me about follow-upping and shepherding, or even just being a leader. He said something like, " To put it simply, follow-upping is like woo-ing a girl. When you woo a girl, you keep thinking of her, wanting to meet her, giving to her, and always wanting to bless her. Basically, you want to draw her to you."
Later, with a short pause, he went on to continue, " The principle is the same for follow-upping. It's inside out. You keep thinking of your sheep, wanting to meet your sheep, giving to your sheep, and always wanting to bless your sheep. However, you ultimately want to draw your sheep to God. The bonus is: your sheep will draw close to you as both of you draw nearer to Him."
James 4:8a is one of my favourite memory verses. It says, " Draw near to God and He will draw near to You." Imagine with me that God speaks to you in person, " Come near to me and I will come near to you."!!! A God would say that to a mere creation like you and me!
Luke 15 is also one of the passage that impressed in my heart very much. Read it, if you happen to see this blog entry. God loves you, yes you, so much that even when you're the only one that stray away, He'll also go ALL THE WAY out for just you. This is God's love: He died for us even while we are still sinners!
Alright, this is my conviction. I hope that all you out there who see this will treasure your sheep. I am talking to every Christians, new or old, leaders or not by title.
Later will have Caregroup at Clar's place. Ha... 3 persons for now. Will not for next week onwards! Anway, here's a short commercial for you.
It's a conversation between Abel and me when we were buying spaghetti in its packet yesterday in NTUC of TM. The spaghetti is uncooked, so it's like many sticks in a packet...
Abel: Oh no, later how to bring the spaghetti to Clar's place tomorrow?
(Abel was carrying many stuff home)
Me: I bring home first lah. I can put in my bag.
Abel: Cannot, will break.
Me: Oh, can break one ar?
(looking innocent and ignorant, more like *sua ku)
Abel: Yah, can break one.
(looking like this >> =.=)
So yeah, later will have CG... Going to prepare. Tata! Keep praying. Keep inviting! This Saturday's E-Motion is gonne be cool~
