Dedicated for my 2 sheep who are with me now.
I have two sheep. One is currently serving NS. Another is going NS soon after graduation; he is in Poly year 3 last semester now. Some people find it mushy (so do I) to say this to their sheep, but I will say here: I love you guys and treasure you 2.
One day, I am sure, you 2 will become shepherds taking care of the sheep dad entrusts you. I hold in hope of you 2 that you will be loving pastors of them. Your sheep will be the reproduction of your spiritual offsprings. That day will surely come. Multiplication will come through you. Don't give up. Hold on together and keep your faith. Stand firm.
Even just as I struggle to work out my sinful nature to obey His Word (His Word will never change and is everlasting; ever truthful and with the power for life-transformation), I won't give up. Come what may... When this period of my wrestling is over, I will definitely share my joy with you. My dear sheep, keep your eyes open to imitate and follow the godly leaders.
Psalm 118: 18 says that we should put our trust in God, who is good and consistent, rather than man, whom will surely fail someday somehow.
So then, why follow the leaders? We follow them because they, too, are following steadfast after Christ's way. The way of obedience to reconcile with God, to know Him and to make Him known. It is by faith, which is unseen, that we exercise in following the leaders. We follow Dad ultimately.
Remember, do your best in knowing God and recognising his voice. Do your best to love the people around you, especially our brothers and sisters in the church, so that others may see and believe that God is real. He will be glorified by all our little acts.
