A shepherd is...
1st a servant
2nd a friend
3rd a brother/ sister
4th a mentor
lastly leader
Such is one who is like a parent. A shepherd is like a spiritual parent. An earthly parent prepares the child for life in this world, which is temporal. However, a shepherd top that by preparing the sheep for life in heaven, which is eternal. Kingdom living is life to the fullest.
What a revelation...
A chinese saying goes that a far water cannot save a near fire. I am pondering...
