K, a little update.
My com at home is down.
I'm gonna start to blog down bits and pieces of what I am gaining from a book I'm reading now.
When the Game is Over, It All Goes Back In the Box
John Ortberg
An allegory that comapred life to a game of chess:
"Wherefore play the game of life warily, for your opponent is full of subtlety, and take abundant thought ovr your moves, for the stake is your soul."
Anonymous Author
Extracted from the introduction of the book mentioned above:
"G. K. Chesterton once wrote that while we often take ourselves too seriously, we can hardly take our souls seriously enough. But life, like a game, is moving toward a goal. It has an object; it is not just a series of random actvities. Furthermore, there are rules to follow in life, and each of us will develop a strategy. The game will not go on forever. As an ancient Italian proveb puts it, " Pawn and king alike, they all go back in the bag." The outcome is inevitable."
