Comparing Online Picture Albums

I've been meddling with services online.

One of them is on online photo storage services.

So far, three services caught my eyes in particular.

Picasa - Google
Flickr - Yahoo

I tried using all three of them.

Here's a comparison from my experience with them.

If you are using Gmail or have a google account, you register for Picasa naturally. It's free. It has a Uploader for Windows and Mac, and it uploads fast. The cons is that you don't have many picture editing features ,e.g. rotate, crop.

If you are using Flickr, that means you have a Yahoo account.
Now, Flickr is pretty handy for tagging, and searching for the pictures. You can even catergorize your pictures. The cons is that you can't have more than 3 sets (albums) in the free account. If you have the money, you can consider upgrading to the pro account.

If you are using Photobucket, you'll find that it's actually not bad.
I have been using it even before I discovered Picasa and Flickr.
The pros is that I can use the Bulk Uploader within the site. I can edit the titles and rotate pictures. I can even have sub albums within a album. You'll also discover you can have a few slides and "remix" options. O ya, you can post videos on Photobucket too.

Hmmm...

Which is the best?

Conclusion.
I think Picasa is the best for bulk upload.
Flickr is best used search and storage if you have the money.
Photobucket provides the overall stable features needed.

If I have money, I'll choose Flickr.
If I'm just a regular user, I'll choose Photobucket.

Did I say that Photobucket can upload individual image from the url of the picture you find online? That means, I can transfer pictures from my other picture storage services to Photobucket. I think, for a free online picture and video storage service, Photobucket rocks.

If you just want something quick and simple, Picasa is a good option.
