Listen, no, you cannot know a person deep enough as a friend via just reading his blog.
How deep you can know a person is as close as between you and his proximity of tangibility.
If you want to know a person, first you have to be within proximity.
There are channels of communications. Varying from far to near... For example, hearing his voice, reading his thoughts in blogs, chatting via msn, chatting with him over the phone, telecommunication, face-to-face... etc.
Proximity depends on how close you are physically... Sometimes we can get to know each other via exchange of words... letters, speaking, behaviours (non-verbal)... The key is to be tactful and not to lie. That is the test of many relationships too... Sometimes, honesty can show how vulnerable relationships can be... It can refine the relationship to be stronger too...
It is not as easy as I typed here... These are all tested by precedents. There is nothing new under the sun and history. If you want to know another person, the least you can do is to be physically near...
Communication is about being honest in expressing your thoughts and sensitive to listen to the hearts of communicators.
Yea...
